Pat Casey (USA) wins BMX SPINE RAMP Best Trick Contest by MASH

In a contest of the highest quality featuring 13 of the world’s best riders, the American Pat Casey convinced the judges and the crowd with sick tricks like a 180 Barspin to Nohander to Fakie 360 Tailwhip to win the premiere of the BMX SPINE RAMP Best Trick Contest by MASH on the Coubertin Square in the Olympic Park. The 23-year-old’s biggest rival was the Czech trick machine Michael Beran (27), who pushed Casey all the way with impressive moves like a Bikeflip to Tailwhip. Among the other riders throwing down hard at the contest was the 21-year-old Australian Alex Hiam.

In front of his home crowd, German local hero Paul Thölen from the town of Viersen took the judges by surprise by being the only rider to pull a fakie trick on the Subbox in the Best Trick Contest.

The final of the BMX Spine Ramp Contests begins tomorrow (Saturday, 24 June) at 14:00 on the Coubertin Square in the Olympic Park.
