Day 2 at MASH

Today, the waether gods meant well with Munich: in perfect weather conditions for MASH, 45,000 visitors experienced action sports at its best.

BMX Best Trick at MASH was a Kieran Reilly show: The British trick machine and newly crowned European Champion won the competition with a Triple Tailwhip to Barspin, repeating his Best Trick victory from last year.

It was a pretty clear victory with Spain's Danny Leon winning the skateboard final by ten points, ahead of his compatriot Jaime Mateu. Just behind him, young Tyler Edtmayer from Berlin secured third place. It was a final at the highest level - the performance level increased continuously from the elimination to the final. A true skateboard festival for the fans on the lawn steps. Above all, it was Danny Leon's day: his first run was already very good, the second excellent despite a mistake, and the third run went perfectly for the 28-year-old. No one could match his wealth of tricks and his technique on Saturday. A great performance was shown by 22-year-old Tyler Edtmayer: His almost perfect second run secured him third place in the men's MASH skateboard final. He was overtaken in the end by Jaime Mateu, who had improved enormously in his third run compared to the first two.

The women's skateboard best trick competition was won by Lilly Stoephasius, a young Berliner and last year's winner of the skateboard contest, with a backside noseblunt. In the men's competition, 27-year-old Jaime Mateu repeated his best trick victory from last year - this time with a frontside blunt indy grab on the MASH barrel.

The interest for the first street dance contest was huge. The atmosphere in the Theatron at Olympic Lake was phenomenal. Candyman (France), who had only qualified for the main contest the day before in the preselection, won the 7-to-smoke (Allstyles). the international Breaking 2vs2 format was won by Lil Zoo (Austria) and Phil Wizard (Canada).
