Save the date for MASH – the action sports experience
One park. Five sports and pure lifestyle. The MASH action sports festival will take place this year from 26 to 28 June in the Olympic Park. The programme includes not only first-class international wakeboarding, skateboarding and BMX contests on challenging, brand-new set-ups, but also exciting competitions featuring mountain bikers and street dancers returning to the Olympic Park. And, of course, the legendary MASH Fest will be there too – lively, inspiring and full of creative energy.

Munich's Mayor for Sport, Verena Dietl, is also eagerly anticipating MASH: "MASH is an event that the state capital wholeheartedly supports. Events like this and facilities such as the new Munich Action Park at the Olympic Action Sports Centre enable us to reach and inspire the younger generation in particular. Here they can admire the athletes, discover a new passion for sport, get active themselves and, in any case, experience an unforgettable festival weekend. MASH offers the opportunity to do all of this."
The sports programme includes contests in five sports – naturally featuring top international athletes: same location – new discipline for the skateboarders. Vert returns to the Olympic Park. As at the 2013 X Games, the four-metre-high and 19-metre-wide halfpipe will be located in front of the grass steps on a platform in the Olympic Lake. BMX bikers will also be able to prove themselves on a brand-new set-up, an 80-metre-long jump line in the middle of Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Platz. This is also where the mountain bikers will compete, celebrating a magnificent MASH revival after 2016. The wakeboarders will once again show off their exciting runs and breathtaking tricks. And in 2026, there will be another street dance contest.
That alone is huge and spectacular. But MASH is much more than just a ‘simple’ sporting event. The legendary MASH Fest is the heart of the event, where you can feel the pulse of the scene. Sport, art, culture and creativity merge into a unique experience – all against the impressive backdrop of the Olympic Park. Whether on the mini ramp at MASH Square, in the chill-out areas or open spaces – the MASH Fest invites all visitors, young and old, to join in, linger and relax.
